Angela McTavish lives in East Vancouver, where she runs a family of fierce and attractive young women with equal parts love, justice, and a strict demand for loyalty. Angela works with the other East Van families, trying to keep the peace. She brokers dramas before they turn into beefs, and settles beefs before they turn into fights. Angela is not a gangster. She's in high-school.
But despite her best efforts, she's been getting in too many fights. Her beleaguered single dad, Ed, already has one kid off the rails. Desperate to save Angela from herself, he sends her across the bridge to a West Vancouver private school he can barely afford.
Angela will never forgive him.
